Significant Investment in Scotland Operation for Intrinsic Technology

Intrinsic Technology has expanded its Scotland operation with the appointment of John McGowan to the position of regional sales manager and investment in larger, prestigious offices in the heart of Scotland’s technology quarter.

Following a number of strategic wins in Scotland in 2008, Intrinsic has invested in brand new, expansive premises in the heart of SiliconGlen – Strathclyde Business Park. The relocation represents Intrinsic’s strong commitment to expanding its presence in the region. John McGowan has been headhunted to lead the existing Scotland sales team and drive growth in 2009. John has more than 15 years experience in enterprise communications sales.

Unusually John has held senior positions with both Nortel and Cisco. Latterly with Affiniti, in his new role as regional sales manager for Scotland, John will assume full responsibility for the Scotland sales pipeline. His remit includes working with key partners to expand Intrinsic’s presence and cross sell other services into the existing base such as Tandberg video conferencing.

John comments: “Intrinsic has had dramatic growth over the last few years which sees the company firmly ensconced on the Sunday Times TechTrack 100. It’s widely acknowledged that Intrinsic is well positioned to maintain its significant growth and I wanted to be a part of that success.

“Through the expansion of the Scottish operation I will ensure further customers in the region will have the opportunity to experience the legendary Intrinsic service.”

Adam Jarvis, sales director, Intrinsic Technology comments: “I am delighted to have someone with John’s calibre assume the helm of our sales operation in Scotland. His considerable local knowledge and contacts in Scotland, combined with his extensive industry experience will ensure Intrinsic’s presence and success in the region is maximised.”
