Simon Payne Joins Damovo as Deputy Managing Director

Enterprise ICT services and solutions provider, Damovo UK has announced that Simon Payne has joined the company as deputy managing director. Payne has more than 15 years’ experience in the ICT sector and he will be responsible for driving Damovo UK’s sales, marketing, portfolio and service management operations.

“I am delighted to be taking on this new role to further strengthen Damovo UK’s position within the mid-market. Our consultative approach of working with clients to understand their business issues and take a holistic view of their entire communications environment sets us apart from the competition. Our ability to develop a communication strategy in line with clients’ business objectives uses our unrivalled integration expertise, which is further supported by our extensive portfolio of best-of-breed technologies and deep technical capability,” commented Simon Payne. “For our clients today the role of their communication partner is evolving to that of a trusted advisor, who can ultimately manage their entire communications environment for which we are ideally suited. Over the next 12-18 months we will be aggressively increasing our client base in the commercial sector to match our ongoing success in the public sector. We have already achieved this in sectors such as finance, media and legal where 70% of the top legal companies are Damovo UK clients”.

Payne was most recently managing director of Damovo Global Services where over the last two years he successfully delivered market leading services to mid-sized multinationals further strengthening the existing global footprint of Damovo. Prior to joining Damovo, Simon spent 12 years working in a number of International ICT services roles, including positions as CEO in Australia and sales and marketing director in both the US and UK.

“Simon has great experience growing sales, marketing and service operations, and I am delighted that he has joined the UK management team. We understand that every client is different, therefore it is important that we are a services rather than a technology-led company. There are very few companies like Damovo that combine real understanding of a client’s needs with such a depth of ICT experience. We feel that with Simon on board we can really start using this as a differentiator, especially as we look to make a bigger push into the mid-market private sector,” added Paul Butcher, managing director Damovo UK.
