SME’s the Most Active Market say Aastra

According to Beverley Martin, Marketing Manager at Aastra, the last 12 months has seen the SME segment (20-40 extensions) remain the most active part of the market.

Speaking to Comms Business Magazine Martin puts this down to the combination of a buoyant economy seeing business expansions and office moves, allied with a growing understanding within the market of the benefits of modern communications solutions.

“The last year has seen VoIP moved into the mainstream of the SME communications market. The widespread availability of high-bandwidth broadband allied with product launches reducing the cost of implementation of VoIP systems came together to move VoIP from a niche application which could only be afforded by larger organisations to a recognised, integral part of an SME’s communications strategy.

This transition more than any other typifies the recent advances in the market, where features, applications and benefits which were previously reserved to the largest, most expensive systems were made available cost effectively for the SME user.”
