snom, a provider of IP telephony solutions, has announced that its snom one IP-PBX has been endorsed for use with secure IP Services from VoIP.co.uk, the UK service provider for business-grade VoIP telephony. Similarly, VoIP.co.uk’s secure, TLS-encrypted SIP trunks have been endorsed by snom for use with its IP-PBX snom one.
The snom ONE IP-PBX is fully compatible with VoIP.co.uk’s TLS and sRTP encrypted business-grade SIP services, which are to be launched at the end of October. The combined solution will be particularly attractive to businesses needing to protect sensitive information being sent over the IP telephony network, such as credit card data.
“For many companies looking to benefit from IP telephony, security is an important consideration given the risks associated with having any unsecured voice infrastructure,” states Adam Crisp, managing director, VoIP.co.uk. “However, security is critical for those businesses handling sensitive information such as credit card details and other financial or personal data. This makes a secure, PCI-compliant VoIP phone system and phone system service vital.”
“The launch of VoIP.co.uk’s secure TLS and sRTP encrypted SIP services is great news for the IP telephony industry and a welcome development for those firms demanding a secure phone system to carry out their business,” explains Jonathan Greenwood, managing director, snom UK. “Finding a reliable provider of secure IP services and hardware is a difficult task, but with snom and VoIP.co.uk they now have a combined solution they can trust.”
VoIP.co.uk will be holding a launch party for its new secure TLS and sRTP encrypted SIP services on 27 October in London.
