“The role of a Lync-based desk- top IP phone is not a trivial one,” said John Bennett Managing Director of snom UK, “it is essential that a Microsoft qualified Lync endpoint be used to access and voice enable the features of Lync while also supporting enhanced telephony capabilities. We are delighted to be working with Sandyx Hosting to support their voice communications based on Lync.”
Sandyx Hosting is an IT and Telecommunications System Integrator specializing in Data Centre, Email and Exchange, Hosted Unified Communications, Hosting, CoLocation, IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service) and Business Internet and Connectivity.
“Many of our Lync clients use a PC, or PC and headset, but we provide telephone handsets as an option, and we won’t be advising customers who want a handset for use with the platform to use anything else except snom,” explained Ewan Stephenson Business Development Manager of Sandyx Hosting. “My experience in the industry has given me the opportunity to work with most handset manufacturers and I have found snom to be the market leader for reliability and voice quality” added Stephenson.
