SpinVox in bed with Palm on new Treo Pro Smartphone

SpinVox, the voice-to-screen messaging company, will be a highlighted service when Palm demos its new Treo Pro smartphone.

Treo Pro, which runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, is suited to exploit SpinVox voice-to-screen capabilities. SpinVox is the only voice to text service available in English, French, Spanish and German, with the sophistication to deal with individual accents and regional variations such as US, Canadian, Australian and South African English.

Jonathan Wall, director of developer relations at Palm, commented: “The new Treo Pro and SpinVox together offer a great way for end users to be more productive, by eliminating time needed to retrieve and listen to voicemail. We’re excited to work with companies like Spinvox, as they provide innovative, intuitive extensions to Palm’s devices.”

While Christina Domecq, CEO and co-founder at SpinVox, added: “Palm has cultivated a dedicated following of professionals around the world who expect advanced technology to help them succeed in today’s business environment. As one of the fastest growing hosted data services for carriers around the world, it’s a natural fit to demonstrate voicemail-to-screen services from SpinVox with Treo Pro. Combined, the service and device demonstrate real time collaboration to energize the enterprise,” she added.
