Spitfire gets to the heart of business comms

Spitfire is beginning a new campaign of radio advertising to promote the company’s portfolio of network services. The ads will run on Heart London and also Heart Thames Valley covering Berkshire and North Hampshire.

The 40 second commercial spots will promote four technologies in Spitfire’s advanced range of business communication services. SIP Communicator is Spitfire’s hosted telephony service, with phone system functionality provided remotely in the ‘cloud’ by Spitfire. With minimal upfront costs this makes the service an extremely cost-effective solution for business start-ups and small businesses that are growing and anticipate moving premises or are spread over multiple sites.

The second ad will highlight Spitfire’s SIP Trunks, which offer business quality secure telephony at typically up to 50 per cent less than the monthly rental cost of an equivalent ISDN service. Spitfire’s extensive range of business broadband options including competitively priced VDSL, SDSL and ADSL circuits, feature in a third advertisement. Finally there will be a spot focusing on Spitfire’s Ethernet delivering high-speed internet connectivity for businesses accessing apps and services in the cloud.

Commenting on the radio advertising campaign, Susie Ward, Marketing & HR Director for Spitfire said, “We try continually to take an innovative approach to our marketing, stepping outside the comfort zone of conventional B2B channels. Communicating the benefits of sophisticated business communication technology in a 40 second radio commercial is a challenge. But I believe it is one that we have met successfully with this campaign. We have pioneered the use of video clips to explain and promote our services both on our website and on YouTube and have a successful Twitter feed. Today’s diverse media environment requires a multi-layered approach to marketing.”
