SpliceCom and Sennheiser Announce Headset Compatibility

Sennheiser say their complete range of corded and wireless headsets have been successfully tested for compatibility with SpliceCom’s range of Proactive Communications Stations (PCS) for use with the company’s Maximiser Platform. The headset vendor says that interoperability between the brands brings new levels of call quality and choice to SpliceCom users.

Compatibility with Sennheiser headsets has been proven with the complete PCS range including the software-only option (PCS 50); the PCS 410 full colour touchscreen phone; the PCS 100 dedicated IP System Phone; the PCS 520, PCS 560, PCS 570 and the PCS 10 and PCS 5 traditional business phones.

Sennheiser Communications’ Corporate Account Manager, Michael Wymans said “We’re delighted with the outcome of these compatibility tests. SpliceCom already has an impressive customer list which is growing daily as more businesses harness the benefit of their award-winning IP telephony platform. With Sennheiser headsets, Maximiser users can look forward to higher standards of call quality, better user comfort and more mobility as they trade up to our wireless solutions.”

The Sennheiser wireless products which are tested and approved for compatibility includes the BW 900 contact centre headset with Adaptive Intelligence to filter out background noise, the VMX 100 and the recently introduced VMX Office for converged communications systems. The latter models both incorporate VoiceMax dual microphone technology to dampen distracting background sound and ActiveGard to protect users’ hearing against sudden and high pitched noise.

Also approved after testing includes the Sennheiser CC 500, CC 300 and CC 200 series corded headsets. The flagship CC 500 series is designed for heavy duty use in high noise, open plan offices and contact centres. The Sennheiser 200 series is an entry level headset which provides exceptional value without compromising build quality, user comfort or safety features. The 300 series includes high quality monaural and binaural options.

The Sennheiser range of USB headsets are also tested and approved for use with PCS handsets including both single-sided and stereo versions. Providing good value for money, Sennheiser USB headsets are the perfect low cost solution for VoIP applications and their stylish design and comfortable fit make them an ideal choice for office and home-office use.

Sennheiser have also announced that Convergence Technology Group has been appointed master distributor for Sennheiser Communications products to the SpliceCom reseller channel. Under the terms of the agreement, Convergence Technology Group will provide dedicated helpdesk support for the products, as well as guaranteed stockholding and next-day deliveries.
