SSE announces Chris Jagusz as the new Managing Director for SSE Telecoms and SSE Data Centres

SSE is pleased to welcome Chris Jagusz as the new Managing Director of its Telecoms and Data Centres business units, bringing with him 20 years of industry experience.

Prior to joining SSE, Chris has been CEO of an acquisitive B2B telecoms service provider, helped build BT’s Openreach organisation, started up a telecoms business in Switzerland, run a global service operation in Germany and sold network solutions to the world’s largest banks.

Upon accepting the role Chris Jagusz said "I'm very excited about joining SSE Telecoms and working with the team. The business has the benefit of superb network and data centre assets in markets that are changing quickly. We have a great opportunity to grow with our customers by providing them with the flexible and scalable infrastructure needed to support today's cloud-based services."

With the benefit of Chris’ extensive knowledge of telecommunications markets, SSE will develop its data centre, fibre, wavelength and ethernet services based on the fourth largest asset owning network within the UK and outstanding data centre facilities. The trend for business users to place their IT services in the cloud forms the backdrop to the company’s growth ambitions.
