STL Report Growing Interest in Mobile Applications

Fifty-two per cent of delegates attending the latest Technology Briefing held at Honda Racing F1 in Northamptonshire by reseller STL were there to hear about mobile applications.

The one day event, held in partnership with the Institute of Directors, was attended by 152 delegates and subjects covered included STL's new greenminutes proposition which has been inspired by the award winning earthdreams initiative from Honda.

'We are very keen to provide membership services', said Christopher James of the IoD (pictured with Brendon Cross of STL). Christopher went on to say, 'interest in the STL briefing was fantastic and we could have doubled the attendance easily. It was also great to hear from an F1 team about how they use the services supplied and supported by STL - very impressive.'

The seminar was hosted by Comms Guru John Chapman on behalf of STL and John said, 'I've anchored many events before but rarely have we seen people standing in the isles the way they were at the STL IoD event. There were small businesses mixed with multi-nationals and all of the speakers were very well received, STL must be very pleased.'

IoD member Phil Beesley of B-Line Business Supplies thoroughly enjoyed the event, 'Fantastic, great venue, brilliant Factory tour and speakers that made absolute sense'.

Simon Harper of Honda Racing F1 commented, 'the Experience Centre gets used a lot but I don't think I've seen that many attendees at an event here before. It's always a pleasure to support STL and I'm sure the IoD members have gone away with a very positive impression of STL and of Honda today'.

Brendon Cross of STL concluded, 'What a great day, we've stimulated a lot of interest in the STL proposition today and already we are planning the next event with the IoD. Technology Briefings to members of business clubs really work and are a great way to generate activity. The sales consultants have got a lot to follow up from today.'
