Summer IP Holiday

Reseller Telinet has secured a contract with holiday firm Mark Warner Ltd that will see Mitel IP communications solutions enabling the company to offer its employees the opportunity to work remotely from home, on the road or from its hotels in 12 holiday destinations. The solution will be deployed to the travel company’s mobile workforce with plans to roll out across the entire company.

With 55,000 customers travelling with Mark Warner every year, the company has invested in a Mitel 3300 IP Communications Platform (ICP) and Mitel Teleworking solution to help streamline its communications. This investment will improve the support available to its mobile workforce and enable the company to communicate more cost-effectively and efficiently.

Using Mitel’s Teleworker solution, employees will benefit from the flexibility to work from any of the travel company’s London offices, at home, on the road or from one of its many hotels with all the functionality and features they would benefit from in the office.

Graham Silversides, IT manager at Mark Warner said: “We were disappointed that our existing telephone switch could not migrate to a fully IP environment and that was when Telinet recommended the Mitel solution to us. Everyone was impressed with the quality and functionality of the solution and we are confident users will find it easier to get to grips with. Telinet offered excellent advice and support, they understood our requirements right through from the design point to the implementation.”

Mark Warner prides itself on the level of customer service it provides to holiday makers and as a result it required the necessary tools to further improve communications. An IP infrastructure will give the company the flexibility to add users as the business grows and provides greater control over call-handling and enables the add-on of applications and cost-savings on toll-free calls to international hotels.

Graham Bevington, managing director of Mitel UK, said: “Investing in IP communications will enable Mark Warner to stay ahead of the competition, by reducing costs and improving communications. In this fast-paced industry it is important for companies to find a way to differentiate themselves and gain a competitive edge; IP communications improves businesses processes and customer service.”
