SWCG House New Comms Solutions

South West Communications Group has recently completed the installation of a new integrated voice and data communications system for NSHousing’s new main office.

NSHousing, formerly known as North Somerset Housing, relocated from Clevedon to Portishead, near Bristol, and needed a new communications system that could be linked to its existing satellite offices.

Following a formal tendering process, South West Communications Group were awarded the contract and provided NSHousing with an Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise voice communications system, a Cisco-based data network, along with South West Communications Group’s call routing service to provide their 175 users with a single communications solution.

South West Communications Group’s managing director Harry Langley said: “We were delighted to be awarded the contract with NSHousing and have strived to provide a communications system that will not only boost its service to its clients but will also save them money too. Our dedicated account manager continues to work closely with NSHousing to make sure all its needs are met and to suggest any changes that would be of further benefit to their business.”

Philip Hill, from NSHousing, said: “The move to our new offices provided the perfect opportunity to deploy a modern, fully featured and integrated telephony solution throughout the whole organisation.

“System resilience was also of vital important to us, as such the design of the system supplied allows for the possibility of any of the offices being disconnected from the corporate large area network while still maintaining telephony at that site.

“And, on any large project it’s important to have a single point of contact with your contractor; I was always comfortable with the knowledge that South West Communications Group had assigned a project manager to us who was knowledgeable, always accessible and with us from start to finish.”
