Switch Communications Gain OGC Contract

Alcatel-Lucent premium business partner Switch Communications has been awarded a Catalist Framework agreement by the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) to supply Voice over IP (VoIP) and Wide Area Network (WAN) solutions to public sector organisations.

Recognition from the OGC makes Switch Communications one of an elite group of rigorously pre-tendered public sector suppliers that can enable organisations including schools, colleges, hospitals, not-for-profits, councils and government trusts to buy with confidence and receive value for money.

Andrew Terry, Managing Director of Switch Communications, comments: "Switch Communications has a rich history in providing secure, reliable and scaleable VoIP and WANs to public sector and not-for-profit organisations.

In fact, we can count over 300 public sector organisations across the UK as loyal and valued customers."

He continues: "Our unique blend of in-house WAN products and status as an Alcatel-Lucent premium business partner means that we can offer cost-effective and flexible networked telecommunications solutions to meet every public sector budget and requirement - from the newly developed St. Pancras and Ebsfleet stations through to local schools, colleges and council buildings."
