Swyx Appoints Alexandra Ernst to its Management Board

IP PBX vendor Swyx is to appoint Alexandra Ernst as a new member of its management board. In her new role, she will be responsible for the further development of the product and service portfolio, and will assist with the introduction of new ‘go to market’ strategies.

Ernst is a qualified economist, who specialises in business informatics, and is able to draw on thirteen years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. Most recently, she worked for Verizon Business, a provider of communications and IT solutions for large corporates and public authorities, where she held the post of Director Advanced Voice Product Management. In this capacity, she was responsible for the development, rollout and management of VoIP and contact centre products at an international level.

“The rise of Swyx as a major player in the VoIP industry has been very impressive. In less than ten years the company has managed to become a market leader in one of the toughest sectors in the telecommunications field. Therefore, the challenge of being part of the development of a young, yet very dynamic company was very appealing,” explains Alexandra Ernst. “It is my goal to further consolidate Swyx’s leading position in the area of unified communications and to ensure that the company continues to grow inline with its long-term business objectives.”

Guenter Junk, CEO at Swyx, commented on the appointment of Alexandra Ernst to the management board as follows: “We are delighted to be able to welcome Alexandra Ernst to Swyx. With her many years’ experience and in particular her excellent knowledge of the market in the service provider segment, she will ideally complement the other members of the management board. Together with Harald Gehlert, CFO, and Dr. Ralf Ebbinghaus, Executive VP Sales & Marketing, Swyx now has a highly competent management team that will enable it to convert the opportunities in the communications market into tangible business plans and results.” Guenter Junk adds: “As agreed with the Board of Directors and shareholders, I am planning to switch to the Board of Directors following the successful integration of Alexandra Ernst.”
