TalkTalk Business delivers super fast broadband to the channel

The operator of the UK’s largest Next Generation Network, TalkTalk Business, has today announced the launch of Super Fast Broadband as the latest addition to its data connectivity portfolio to the channel. TalkTalk Business’ will be making its fibre based broadband available in over 30,000 cabinets that are connected through to its 2,600 enabled exchanges.

With over 1,100 exchanges already enabled for fibre based broadband, TalkTalk can offer service to more than 11 million homes and businesses across the UK. TalkTalk Business are fully committed to following Openreach’s network roll out, and due to the extensive footprint of their own Next Generation Network, they are in an unrivalled position to have a newly enabled exchange available for Super Fast Broadbandas the cabinets come on line from Open Reach.

Openreach roll out plans support the provider’s ambitious growth plans with 2/3rds of the UK’s 26 million homes and businesses, having access to Superfast Broadband by the end of 2014.

The TalkTalk Business fibre based variant of broadband is unique as it supports both data and voice enabling Partners to maximise revenues and opportunities. It also provides TalkTalk Business’ partners with a disruptive price proposition that offers generous usage allowances, network prioritisation for data traffic and an improved 7 hour fix times, with speeds of 80Mbps/20Mbps and 40/10Mbps available.

Adding to TalkTalk Business’s impressive Broadband and Ethernet connectivity portfolio, Super Fast Broadband as a managed DSL service will launch in November 2012, providing high speed connectivity with greater downstream and upstream bandwidth to benefit SMEs and home workers, better supporting cloud computing, file sharing and web-conferencing. The off the shelf internet facing fibre based broadband proposition removes the infrastructure and product development overhead and allows for accelerated speed to market for TalkTalk’s Partners.

In addition TalkTalk will also launch their Ethernet over Super Fast Broadband variant as soon as January 2013, providing partners with the opportunity to offer high speed symmetrical services at a significantly lower price point than traditional Ethernet delivery technologies. Trials are commencing shortly.
