Tandberg Partners with Intrinsic Technology to Grow Penetration of VC

Tandberg has signed converged IP-based communications specialist, Intrinsic Technology as a premier partner

The agreement allows the reseller to broaden its unified communications portfolio to include the visual element of video while making an immediate positive impact on its bottom line. It also accelerates Tandberg’s market penetration with video-based solutions among Intrinsic’s existing customer base, along with other companies concerned about the interoperability and total cost of ownership of their communications technology. As the partnership was finalised, the two companies had already inked two deals together.

Gregg Spooner, strategic development director at Intrinsic Technology, explained: “We have always been impressed by Tandberg’s comprehensive range of products; from high-end telepresence to mobile video systems. And its integration with Microsoft Office Communication Server makes the Company an even more attractive partner. In a fast-moving market such as unified communications, it has become increasingly important for us to add video technology to our range of services. Tandberg technology not only enables us to handle the increasing demand for video, but also helps customers improve their environmental credentials.”

Wayne Stephens, EMEA director of partners and alliances at Tandberg commented: “Intrinsic demonstrates a thorough and impressive understanding of its clients’ communication strategies. This, coupled with the Company’s ability to deliver solutions into new markets makes them an ideal Envision partner. We sell exclusively through the channel, so it is essential that we have good relationships with our partners. We are confident that this relationship will have a significant impact on the future of the business; not only with existing customer relationships but new customer opportunities too.”
