Tech Data UK has added Magnese’s range of security locks, PC and laptop chargers, connectors, mice and privacy filters to its expanding accessories portfolio.
Northamptonshire-based Magnese is already established as a supplier of customised technology accessories to corporate and specialist resellers. The agreement with Tech Data brings the UK company’s range into easy reach of the wider IT reseller community for the first time.
The Magnese product range includes everything from security locks and mains chargers for laptops, to cables, connectors and privacy filters for use in the office or on the move. The company can fully customise products to meet the needs of end user organisations on behalf of reseller partners.
Although this is its first distribution agreement, Magnese works entirely through the channel and as such, it represents a unique opportunity for resellers, says Paul Jacobs, PC Components and Accessories Business Unit Manager at Tech Data UK.
“Magnese is a UK design and manufacturing company offers something a little bit special, so this agreement is excellent news for any reseller looking to differentiate and deliver more value for their customers. Magnese really is one of the best-kept secrets of the business. They are a remarkable company, producing remarkable and highly-marketable solutions and its products bring an added dimension to our charging and security portfolio. We see almost unlimited potential for its current range and if you have customers with a very specific requirement, Magnese can help there as well.”
Commenting for Magnese, Jonnie Davis, Chief Inspiration Officer at the company, says: “This is a new adventure for us and one we are really looking forward to. We are entering this partnership with the enthusiasm we apply to everything. Tech Data hugely enhance our agility by adding the scale and market reach so we can delight so many more customers. We make inspirational products that make technology fit – and stand out from the crowd. We are hoping that many more resellers in the UK channel will start investigate to what we have to offer as a result of this partnership. Our team are ready and eager to help and support them in bringing more of our workplace concepts to life.”
Through its partners, Magnese has already built up an impressive list of end-user customers that includes British Telecom, HSBC, Santander, BSKYB, The Bank of England, Boots, BP, the MOD, and many more illustrious names. For many of these customers, Magnese has produced customised products.
