In the US Tech Data, through its Telephony Specialized Business Unit (SBU), is the only U.S. broadline distributor to offer Mitel hardware, software and accessories.

"The Mitel agreement provides our customers even greater flexibility when developing state-of-the-art communications solutions that offer end users compelling cost savings, improved operational efficiencies and enhanced workforce productivity compared to legacy analog systems."
The announcement said that Tech Data will distribute Mitel's broad range of IP communications platforms that support from 10 to 65,000 users. The Telephony SBU also will offer resellers Mitel solutions for call centers, mobility, speech-enabled unified communications, messaging, video conferencing and wireless communications for deployment in a wide array of vertical markets including hospitality, healthcare, retail and government – i.e., the full Mitel portfolio.

The Telephony SBU will work closely with Mitel to develop targeted marketing campaigns and channel programs including regional roadshows to help recruit, train and provide authorization assistance to resellers. Tech Data also will dedicate product management resources and a vendor product representative for Mitel customers.
The Telephony SBU provides resellers with dedicated sales and technical support, as well as educational events focused on business expansion opportunities and vendor certification. Its product offering includes PBX, IP PBX and VOIP solutions; voice-and-video conferencing applications; and other telephony software, hardware and accessories from leading manufacturers.
