Jan Frykhammar has now been elected as a member of the Board of the IT and Telecom company Telavox. He takes up his position on 1 April, 2018.

Jan Frykhammar has been at Ericsson since 1991, and became part of group management in 2008. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2009, and before that he was head of the Global Services business unit. He was also CEO for a period while Ericsson was looking for a new Chief Executive.

"Telavox is an exciting and fast growing company with good people, a strong culture and an attractive offering in a dynamic market. They’re driving the transformation of IT and telecoms and are creating the business communication services of the future with agile and modern technology. I’m looking forward to supporting Telavox in all phases of its international expansion," says Jan Frykhammar.

Right now Telavox is in an intensive phase of international investment and is ready to break ground in the UK. Through channel partners, Telavox wants to offer British companies a unique, top-tier cloud PBX service, and claim their solution is 3-5 years ahead of others in the market thanks to its user friendliness.

"It will be fun and stimulating to work with Jan. Telavox is in a position where we can benefit greatly from Jan’s experience, knowledge and contacts," says Viktor Karlsson, CEO of Telavox.

In addition to the UK launch, an initiative with a new partnership model for operators has been introduced. Telavox invites operators anywhere in the world to offer Telavox services together with their own telephony

services. The model was launched at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

"For these types of services, the operators current model, of buying platforms developed several years ago, and then adding more services, is passé. You have to change the model and become more agile to compete with IT companies for corporate customers. Otherwise, the operators are limited to supplying accesses and traffic instead of software services. Telavox’s new model should be very interesting for them,” says Jan Frykhammar.
