Telecoms Boss Completes Century Cycle Challenge

Swan Communications Managing Director is celebrating a triumphant 100 mile cycle ride in aid of cancer charity, FORCE. The telecommunications boss, Peter O’Shaughnessy, was one of a record breaking 787 cyclists who took on the FORCE Century Cycle Challenge to cycle from Topsham to South Molton via Exmoor and back via Crediton on one of the hottest days of the year so far.

Now in its 11th year, the sponsored ride is expected to raise a staggering £50k for the Exeter-based charity. Peter said “The middle section from Dulverton across Exmoor was particularly tough, but the atmosphere was fantastic and all the cyclists supported each other, there was a real team spirit.”

Not one to rest on his laurels, Peter will be back in the saddle training for a 400 mile sponsored ride from Land’s End to Twickenham in September in aid of Help For Heroes, RFU Injured Players Foundation and the RPA Benevolent Fund. For more information, visit www.greatbritishbikeride.com
