Speech recognition specialist, Telephonetics VIP, has added SIP support in the latest release of their speech driven call routing solution, ContactPortal. The enhancement has been added to address the growing IP market in which Yankee Group predicts a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 31.4 percent.
In addition to enabling customers to integrate speech automation into their converged solutions, the introduction of SIP support enables a cost effective digital alternative to smaller solutions that would traditionally use an analogue connection.
Telephonetics VIP has tested the ContactPortal with a variety of mainstream SIP-based PBX/ACD systems and continues to expand the list by working with key channel partners to complete testing in a variety of deployment situations.
