TeleWare Appoints Chief Executive

TeleWare, the provider of intelligent communication applications for hosted and on-premise solutions for businesses and service providers, today announced Steve Haworth as its new Chief Executive Officer to drive the continued growth of the company into new areas.

“The voice applications market has matured rapidly over the past few years with the introduction of Microsoft and the market penetration by Cisco and other non-traditional telephony suppliers. TeleWare has been investing to ensure that we are well placed to succeed in the new emerging paradigm,” said Haworth. “We have a number of new Technology Partners with whom we have been developing integrated solutions over the past 18 months and these are now beginning to perform and provide real solutions for our customers,” added Haworth.

Haworth has been with TeleWare for 5 years, initially as TeleWare’s Business Development Director and, more recently, as Group Strategy Director. He has been a key player in the company’s successful expansion into the hosted service market. Haworth is also one of the original drivers of the Private Mobile Networks line of business providing fixed mobile convergence and rapid deployment solutions and utilising the company’s guardband spectrum licence, purchased in 2006.

“TeleWare’s focus has been to put in place a selection of key sales partners who are accredited, competent and committed to our products. Now that we have the agreements in place with partners such as Azzurri and Telindus and a number of further key contracts in progress, we plan to focus on maximising the effectiveness of these relationships,” concluded Haworth.

Haworth’s appointment will enable his father Geoff Haworth, the company’s Founder and Chairman, to increasingly focus on the long term product development plans and new technological opportunities.
