Telindus Achieves Nokia Accreditation

Reseller Telindus is one of the first UK organisations to have achieved Expert Voice Partner status as part of the Nokia for Business Channel Partner programme.

This accreditation forms part of the recently launched Nokia program which recognises channel partners’ expertise and commitment in delivering business mobility solutions. By achieving Expert Partner status, Telindus has widened the scope and capability of its Unified Communications (UC) project to create an exclusive Unified Mobility Solution, designed to extend the corporate environment to end users, regardless of their location and method of connectivity.

The Telindus Unified Mobility Solution will initially transfer 25 functionalities from the desktop IP phone to the Nokia E-series family of handsets, enhancing the mobile device with the benefits of traditional UC. Combining this with Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) means that businesses could, in the future, migrate all communications to mobile devices, thereby doing away with fixed-line phones altogether. In the office environment, calls would be made over the WiFi network and then seamlessly transition to the GSM network when out of range (i.e. outdoors). In both instances, the Telindus Unified Mobility Solution would allow the user to leverage all the benefits of the traditional desk phone on their mobile, including cost savings (i.e. mobile phone bills, hardware etc.), one device, one number, improved utilisation of the IP infrastructure and increased productivity.

“We are delighted to have achieved Expert Voice Partner accreditation,” commented Mark Hutchinson, UK managing director at Telindus. “This offers Telindus the opportunity to extend desktop applications and security out to the mobile device, responding to customers demand. With unified communications, employees will have the ability to be more efficient and increase their productivity whilst ‘dead time’ and costs are reduced.”

"As a Nokia for Business Expert Voice Partner, Telindus is joining an expanding network of partners delivering mobility solutions to businesses," said Stuart Hopper, director of Channel Sales, Enterprise Solutions, Nokia. "Businesses of all sizes are turning to experts they can trust for help in implementing holistic solutions that bring real business value. The Nokia for Business Channel Program enables resellers to meet the needs of business customers, tapping into the growth opportunity of enterprise mobility."
