Telinet Wins SMB of the Year

Reseller Telinet Solutions has won the title of South East AXA Small to Medium Business of the Year in this year's National Business Awards

As a regional winner, Telinet Solutions will not only receive a day's support from an AXA Business Consultant but will also go forward to the National Business Awards grand final at the Grosvenor Hotel in London on 7 November.

The AXA Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year Award will recognise businesses for their entrepreneurship and innovation and will seek to highlight the importance of management excellence in maintaining a successful business today and continuing to grow it in the future.

Graham Trueman, the AXA South East Regional Judge, said: "I am delighted that Telinet Solutions have managed to beat off stiff competition to be crowned regional winner this year. A large number of businesses in the region entered and we were very impressed with the quality of entries. The finalists are all outstanding examples of the South East's most dynamic companies and we wish them all the best of luck in their development. We chose Telinet Solutions because as a very small company in the telecoms field they are managing to do what many of their peer group can't - achieve substantial profitability. Telecoms is a notoriously difficult sector to make money in and their cost focus and strong management practices are very impressive."

"We are delighted to win this award, as a small business it is gratifying to have our achievements and hard work recognised by such a prestigious award programme", said Tony Cook the Managing Director of Telinet Solutions.

By winning the regional award Telinet now goes through to the national final. Finalists from the five regional programmes will go on to compete against five other finalists in the National finals held on November 7th 2006 at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.

The National Business Awards is a completely independent programme recognising business excellence across all vertical markets, embracing businesses of all sizes and all ages. Entrants are judged on specific category criteria underpinned by the programmes values of success, innovation and ethics.
