Telrad Goes Back to Iridiacom

Alan Doyle, managing director of Hertfordshire based distributor Iridiacom, has announced that following a management restructure at IP PBX vendor Telrad by new company owner Avi Weinreib, he will once again be distributing their product range.

Previous management at Telrad had terminated Doyle’s distribution agreement and appointed instead midlands based outfit Maximum Solutions.

Weinreib however, who recently purchased the Telrad from its’ VC owners, has brought back a number of key executives who had left the company. In doing so they then decided to re-appoint Iridiacom and signed a new distribution deal with Doyle’s company.

Doyle pointed out that Weinreib also purchased the Zultys product from the receivers following its long drawn out road to failure (Chapter 11 in the US) but refused to comment on whether his company would also become involved with that product as well.

He was however keen to point out that Telrad had introduced SIP based connectivity for their product both at trunk and extension level and that a number of ‘disaffected’ resellers had returned to his fold immediately upon hearing the news.

Stewart Lines, managing director of Maximum Solutions, told Comms Business Magazine, “We have a number of happy resellers and will continue to sell Telrad product. There is room for two distributors and understand the decision to appoint Iridiacom came from the new management.”
