Telstra Europe Unveil First Platinum Partner

Carrier Telstra Europe has announced Callplan as it first Platinum Partner.

Callplan is a subsidiary of telecommunications company Spiritel and it has achieved great success selling Telstra’s complete range of voice and data products to UK businesses.

Telstra describe their partner as a rapidly growing and profitable business that has been selling their services, including outbound and inbound voice, wholesale line rental, broadband, non-geographic numbers and virtual managed data networks for the past two years.

Callplan runs the only independent Telstra-branded sales channel in the UK, operating through a network of independent agents and it has acquired more than 170 SME and corporate clients, including blue chip UK customers.

Les Johns, Director of Sales, Enterprise at Telstra Europe, said “Callplan has achieved enormous business growth working with Telstra and this award reaffirms our commitment to our strategic business partnership. We commissioned Yankee Group research last year which clearly showed that carrier commitment was the number one driver for channel development ranking more highly than pricing incentives and lead generation. As a Platinum Partner, Callplan will benefit from additional investment which will help accelerate its business in the UK.”

“As business demand for converged voice and data solutions, hosting and managed network services continues to grow in the UK, we are confident our strategic partnership will flourish in 2007 and beyond,” he added.

Andrew Gedny, Managing Director of Callplan, said: “I am delighted by this accreditation from Telstra, which rewards our success to date and highlights our future potential. Telstra’s dedicated account management, technical expertise, in-depth training and marketing support proved invaluable in helping us our success to date. We are confident that by working even more closely together as a Platinum Partner, both our companies will continue to grow and develop in the future.”
