The Word’s 2010 Expansion Continues

Cardiff-based b2b dealer, the Word, has appointed a senior systems engineer to support the company’s ambitious drive within the converged telecoms market.

Steven Bower joins the Word to provide technical support to the sales team as they continue to roll-out a new unified offering.

Bower has over a decade of technical telecommunication experience, previously working at Boucon Networks where he worked as an installation engineer. Prior to that he gained two years experience in the field of telecommunications at both Azzurri Communications and Mitel Networks.

Bower said: “I’m really looking forward to stepping into such a pivotal role which will build on the Word’s already impressive offering to existing and potential new clients. My role will be to support the sales team with technical requests in addition to designing the networks and maintaining the systems. I’ll also make the technology accessible to the end user, helping them fully understand our products and their benefits. It’s an exciting time to be joining the Word during this period of rapid expansion.”

As the Word continues to grow, Bower will also be responsible for building a division of systems engineers over the next two years.

Bower’s main responsibilities will be to offer consultative support to both the sales team and customers. He will be attending client meetings in order to design bespoke systems for customers - ensuring the supply, delivery, installation and support of complex VoIP telephony networks.
