Adrian Thirkill, recently appointed CEO of GCI, has a cautionary note for the channel. Thirkill will be presenting a keynote to the Channel at the highly anticipated Convergence Summit North in Harrogate on the 16th March.
Thirkill, who was a prime mover in Easynet’s recent sale to Interoute for £400m suggests that the pace of technology change is outstripping the channel’s ability to engage. With disruptive, benefit rich technologies such as unified communications growing at five times the rate of traditional telephony services, and software defined networks just over the hill, Thirkill suggests that the channel is at risk of becoming populated by Buffalo Hunters and is not embracing the huge opportunities flowing from the Millennial effect.
Thirkill’s presentation is a frank, direct assessment of the landscape and concludes by positioning a compelling support proposition – the GCI Ultimate 100 – for resellers of the right mindset.
Make sure you register to attend the Summit and hear Thirkill’s take on the increasing pace of change in the Channel!
The Convergence Summit North runs over the 15th and 16th March in Harrogate, visitors can register for the event for FREE here.
