Thus Target Mobile Connectivity

Thus plc today announced the addition of a Mobile 3G Broadband offering to its suite of products for Demon customers. The 3G device allows quick and simple connection to the Internet or office network, allowing users to browse the Internet, check emails, download files and access company documents easily whilst on the move.

Demon 3G Broadband from Thus enables small to medium sized businesses (SMBs) to implement flexible working practices and enhances productivity. Connecting directly into a laptop with a simple plug-and-play configuration, the device provides a quick and secure connection, ensuring that mobile workers can be as productive while travelling as they are in the office. Users can easily access office applications, whilst sensitive and confidential information can be viewed with complete peace of mind using the 3G device in conjunction with Thus’ clientless VPN solutions.

Mark Charlesworth, Head of Messaging, Mobility & Applications at Thus plc commented: “More and more time is being spent away from the office as we travel regularly to meet colleagues, prospects and clients. For SMBs to be able to compete effectively, they need to be able to stay in touch and access critical information whilst on the move. The Thus and Demon remote network solutions turn time that would otherwise be wasted into valuable work time and give users the freedom to remain connected. The latest addition to our range, the Mobile 3G Broadband device is a fast and easy way to get connected and stay productive while away from the office.”

The Mobile 3G Broadband offering is the latest addition to Thus’ expanding line of mobile solutions aimed at the Demon customer base of SMBs, to provide secure and efficient remote access. As well as being available as a standalone offering, the 3G Broadband device will also be available with the Demon Remote Worker Solution, a package of remote working services for SMBs which provides cost-effective remote access to business-class and fully-supported telephony, voice conferencing and broadband capabilities. With three simple tariffs available to suite all needs, ranging from light occasional usage to heavy roaming, based on actual information downloaded as opposed to time online, users can stay connected as long as necessary whilst managing their costs effectively.
