THUS Wins £1.5m National Ethernet Contract with Digica

THUS has won a contract in excess of £1.5m with Digica, a provider of outsourcing and managed IT services. The contract will see THUS deliver National Ethernet connectivity for one of Digica's customers, a speciality investment management business.

Connecting four of the customer's sites throughout the UK, THUS' solution will support remote server hosting and management, disaster recovery connectivity and resilient configuration for all business applications and operations.

With all services now offsite and fully replicated to a secondary site, Digica's customer needed to achieve total business continuity. Through it's long-standing relationship with THUS, Digica knew that THUS' National Ethernet solutions would enable business recovery to be reduced from 2 days to 2 hours and at the same time, improve the scalability of its business services.

Dr Matt Lovell, Chief Technology Officer, from Digica said: "We already use THUS' services and we know that the quality of service they provide is second to none. Throughout all our dealings with THUS, we have continually been impressed with their innovative approach to service and delivery. We had no hesitation in joining with THUS to provide this solution to our customer."

Speaking about today's announcement, Phil Male Chief Operating Officer, THUS plc said: "We've been working closely with Digica for some time now and this contract builds on our strong relationship. Digica recognises that we have geographical strengths and technology leadership in the provision of National Ethernet which enables us to work hand in hand with our customers to deliver the right solution in the right timescales."
