THUS/Demon Pleased to be on Broadband Podium

THUS seems chuffed that its Demon Internet brand has come third in a test of consumer broadband performance quality in the UK. The survey, which was carried out by Epitiro, the Customer Experience Manager solutions provider monitored factors such as broadband speed and overall performance. Demon came ahead of larger consumer-focused ISPs such as AOL and Orange, although its focus is specifically on the business market. In the survey BT came out top of the list for quality.

Epitiro conducted its tests by periodically logging on to all major ADSL brands from 10 different locations within the UK, generating real-time data on factors such as connection speed, email performance and the speed of downloading. Epitiro has stated that it will carry out further tests on a quarterly basis.

Nigel Stevens, product director at THUS, commented: "As a business broadband provider it is especially satisfying to have achieved a higher place than many solely consumer-focused ISPs. As the first ISP to provide broadband in the UK, we have always prided ourselves on the high standard of Demon solutions and customer service, but it is our quality of service guarantees to businesses that really set us apart. We have no doubt that in a test of best business ISPs Demon would come well above the competition".
