Tim Gain – Man on a Mission

Midlands businessman and accredited Voicenet Solutions dealer, Tim Gain, proved he really is a ‘Man on a Mission’ scooping two awards at the annual Switched On Business Awards which recognises the success and achievements of the Midlands most switched on people.

At a gala dinner attended by 250 of the Midlands brightest business people Gain was crowned ‘Switched On Business Person of the Year’ having already secured the title ‘Man on a Mission’ earlier in the evening.

So what makes someone Switched On?

Angela Agnew, event organiser, articulates the definition as “leaving your own footprints, creating your own path and setting the world alight”. Passionate about connecting ‘Switch On’ businesses, Ms Agnew continues “Tim Gain upholds all these qualities and this award was presented to a truly exceptional man who has made significant contribution to his industry sector, and has demonstrated the ability to identify and exploit a significant new market opportunity”

Gain is the founder and Managing Director of Ortiga, and accredited Voicenet Solutions reseller, established two years ago, with the mission of ‘making technology work’ and providing telecommunications and integrated IT solutions for SMEs in the Midlands region.

Commenting on his success, Gain noted “We have a very simple objective to help our customers to grow their own businesses which we do by changing the way they communicate with their customers and helping them to get more value from their staff. The telecoms and IT market is well known for hype and many customers are confused by the choices available – all we do is keep it simple, manage our customer’s projects as we would our own, and make things work for them. I’m delighted that our efforts have been recognised by the Switch On panel”

David Crombie CEO Voicenet Solutions commented “We’re very please to have Tim as part of our network. He is the type of reseller that any provider would love to have on their side, he has the knowledge and enthusiasm to dictate the course of the industry rather than just be a passenger.”
