Timico launch Ethernet over FTTC

Timico has launched a new ‘Ethernet over FTTC’ connectivity product in response to increasing demand for high speed internet access for businesses.

Complete with a business-strength SLA, Ethernet over FTTC is up to 88% cheaper to install than copper-based Ethernet in the first Mile (EFM) and has a rental cost that comes in at half the price of comparable EFM services.

Speaking of the new product, Timico CTO Trefor Davies, said: “This new service is perfect for businesses using SaaS applications and VoIP – especially those who are finding themselves outgrowing broadband.

“Indeed, the trend towards VoIP and higher bandwidth this year is similar to the demand we saw for copper technology ten years ago. Companies need to act now to improve their connectivity and avoid being left behind by those who have invested wisely in their internet capabilities.”

Delivering speeds of up to 76Mbps downstream and with dedicated bandwidth, Timico’s latest offering can ensure the connectivity of a business in next to no time – boasting a typical installation time of just 13 days – half the time of EFM and less than a quarter of the time it takes to fit traditional Fibre Ethernet services.
