Networks & Network Services
Timico has announced the launch of a new value-added mobile service designed to improve an individual’s and/or a company’s productivity.Timico Stockstream is a mobile financial content solution which enables global or local investors, financial planners, stockbrokers and people who like to keep abreast of world financial news to stay on top of the market when they are out and about.

With prices starting from just £17.50 per month plus Exchange fees, the Timico Stockstream service is a comprehensive BlackBerry streaming application at an affordable price, allowing users to see real-time market changes on their BlackBerry as they occur without being tied to an expensive PC terminal at a desk.

“The launch of Stockstream reflects our ability to deliver leading-edge mobile solutions for the business market. This, and our ability to deliver an outstanding customer service experience, are the qualities that made Timico eligible for partnership in the O2 Data Centre of Excellence programme, which sets demanding and ongoing high standards,” says Matthew Gimlette, Commercial Director, Timico.

Providing data streamed in live-time directly from Thompson Reuters – the world’s most reliable provider - directly to your BlackBerry, the Timico Stockstream service comes in two versions offering users the freedom to choose the service and monthly subscription which best suits their requirements. Stockstream Mobile is tailored for the financial investor requiring local market data and news. It provides Equities and indices from the LSE and AIM only and has 30 second polling data. For the Global investor, Stockstream Mobile Pro provides access to over 40 international exchanges with regional news feeds and indices. Equities, Options, Futures, Commodities, Treasury and Foreign exchange data are all available and it has a faster – every second - polling of data.

A small application downloaded directly onto a BlackBerry provides users with secure login. It is straightforward to self-install and the simple, easy-to-use interface is intuitively designed so that users can access critical information fast as well as receive audible alerts when key data changes beyond parameters they have set. With access to breaking news stories as they happen, users can choose and filter what they want to see and can set up their own watch-lists with specific symbols. It is also possible to drill down into detailed financial information and charts.

“Real-time market information has previously been notoriously expensive as well as being slow and unwieldy to access when on the move. So we are delighted to be able to provide our financial sector customers with an easy-to-use and cost effective solution that delivers the reliable information they need to respond profitably to market changes wherever they are,” says Chris Tombs, Chief Executive, Timico Group.
