Timico moves forward with mobile internet strategy

Business communications provider, Timico, has taken a further step in its strategy to lead the B2B mobile internet service provision market, with a new mobile services website.

Timico is an award winning B2B service provider for both the O2 and Vodafone networks and has recently launched next generation mobile internet service provision for the smartphone and tablet market, including the UK’s first cloud-based service for Mobile Device Management.

Handheld PCs (acquired by the Timico Technology Group last year) has now been integrated into the new Timico Mobile Services division, adding bespoke mobile application development capability to the Timico portfolio. Timico also offers a range of existing apps including ‘hand-e-pix’.

This photo management application is used by major private and public sector clients to capture and save, time and date stamped images that can be sorted, saved and shared via a secure, hosted database. From today hand-e-pix is available on the iOS platform for iPad and iPhone devices, where previously only BlackBerry and Windows Mobile platforms were supported.

Commenting on these developments, Neil Armstrong, Marketing Director said, “We are focused on delivering tailored and flexible mobile service offerings to the market, with our unique position of being both a mobile service provider and one of the UK’s premium B2B ISPs. The ongoing product development, creation of a Timico Mobile Services division and dedicated website reflects both the investment we are making and the opportunity we see in this space.”
