Toshiba Business Communications Division (BCD) today announced a partnership with Voice Connect, the leading provider unified communication solutions for private and public organisations within the UK.
Toshiba BCD will offer Voice Connect’s Patient Partner product as part of a continued strategic focus on the health sector, integrating seamlessly with the Toshiba BCD Strata CIX platform.

Patient Partner is a software tool that has been developed especially for doctor’s surgeries in conjunction with existing NHS clients. The solution enables surgeries to increase the efficiency of staff and improve patient handling, whilst ensuring the security of patient information.
Patient Partner makes it possible for patients to book, cancel or check appointments using a touch-tone telephone at any time night or day, without any involvement from staff. As well as increased productivity, Patient Partner can also improve ‘Did Not Attend’ rates as it is possible to SMS patients to remind them of appointments, or change the auto-attendant greetings to remind patients to book appointments.
