Touchbase Transitions to Cisco

Reseller Touchbase say they have completely transitioned its business from Avaya to Cisco in less than a year. To make this rapid transition Touchbase has made a significant investment in training, technology, accreditation and other resources devoted to delivering Cisco Unified Communications solutions.

Touchbase Chief Executive Riordan Maynard said the partnership was designed to meet the rapidly increasing demand from its clients for Unified Communications solutions, where advanced technologies are used to integrate an organisation’s various communications devices into a single, dynamic platform. Maynard said Touchbase was attracted to Cisco by the vendor’s clear and exciting vision for business communications, its immense annual investment in research and development, industry-leading technology and absolute commitment to its channel partners and customers.

“Our relationship with Cisco is absolutely fundamental to our mission of transforming the way our clients communicate internally and externally,” Maynard said. “Cisco's vision of unified communications marries perfectly with Touchbase's view of how business communication is evolving and we believe that together our organizations can deliver all the benefits of this exciting new opportunity to our clients across the world. We view Cisco as a fundamental part of what Touchbase can offer as a business and are extremely proud to be a valued Cisco Partner.”

“Removing Avaya from our market proposition and shifting the primary focus of the business to Cisco in such a short space of time may appear to some to be a risky decision, but it is clear to us that Cisco’s vision of the future of communications within businesses and their customers is clearer and more exciting than with any other vendor. In our view Touchbase and Cisco are natural partners because of our similar approaches to business and our shared obsession in delivering innovation to our clients. Together, we can focus on this exciting opportunity to lead the development of Unified Communications.”

Keith Goodwin, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Channels at Cisco, applauded Touchbase for making such remarkable progress in re-engineering its business around Cisco Unified Communications. "Touchbase has devoted its entire organization to quickly and efficiently evolving its business to Cisco and the results speak for themselves,” said Mr. Goodwin. “With their global coverage and 15 years of experience delivering Voice and Contact Center solutions, we are confident Touchbase will play a pivotal role in helping our mutual customers turn unified communications into a strategic business asset."
