Transatel is pleased to announce this week the launch of a new prepaid MVNO in partnership with Lomo Mobile. The new service was announced on Friday at a prestigious event at the London Hilton hotel on Park Lane with Nigerian dignitaries present to celebrate the availability of the new service aimed at the African community in the UK.
Lomo Mobile’s aim is to offer its customers better value for both their local communications and for their calls and texts back to their family, friends, and colleagues in their countries of origin. Lomo will do this by proposing:
•Competitive rates to Nigeria, Ghana, the USA, Europe, and many other international destinations
•Free calls and SMS among Lomo users
•Free calls to Lomo customer service and voicemail
Through its partnership with Transatel, Lomo is able to offer its customers access to the biggest 3G network in the UK, convenient options for topping up thanks to Transatel’s agreements with Paypoint and Payzone, and benefits from Transatel’s unique experience and expertise as a pan-European MVNO and as the UK’s biggest mobile virtual network aggregator (MVNA).
Lomo is Transatel’s twenty-fifth MVNO partner in the UK, and joins more than a hundred enterprise, B2B, B2C, and niche MVNOs who have chosen to partner with Transatel in the UK and worldwide.
Philippe Vigneau, Transatel VP of business development, said “I am delighted that Lomo has chosen Transatel as its wholesale partner for launching this service. Lomo is the first MVNO by Africans for Africans so they really understand the needs of their customers. I know they have exciting plans for the brand and the rest of the Transatel team and I wish them every success!”
