Transatel Solutions recognised as Best MVNA

Transatel is delighted to announce that it has been officially recognised as the winner of the Best MVNA category at the first ever MVNO Awards Ceremony at the MVNOs World Congress 2013 in Rome.

Transatel was rewarded with this prestigious accolade thanks to its consistence at launching MVNOs and M2M service providers with companies of any size rapidly and with low setup costs on its MVNA platform with operators in the UK, France, Switzerland, and Benelux.

Founded in 2000, Transatel is the leading pan-European specialist on the MVNO, MVNE, MVNA, and M2M enablement markets, offering a productised solution for both MNOs and MVNOs. It offers its IT enabling service (MVNE model) to MNOs or MVNOs, and can add airtime services to this proposition to deliver an MVNA service to MVNOs. In addition to this, Transatel can offer M2M capability to both MVNOs and MNOs. All of these services are available in 8 countries throughout Europe.

For companies wishing to become MVNOs, Transatel has built a complete ecosystem to allow MVNOs to flourish. It is fully interconnected into operators throughout Europe, and offers an off-the-shelf solution for all MVNO requirements in their go-to-market strategy, including the IT services to enable the MVNO on the host network, airtime cost negotiation and procurement, provisioning tools, customisation tools to enhance branding, full real-time prepaid billing, bundle configuration, CDR generation and post-paid billing services, as well as web tools to enable customer care at a fraction of the cost of bespoke CRM systems. It has also integrated into various top up platforms to enable maximum market penetration. MVNOs working with Transatel can enter the market in as little as 1 month with set-up fees under €10k, depending on market and business model.

For MNOs, Transatel offers the possibility to outsource the complexity and risk involved in running MVNOs on their network. Many MNOs originally decide to build in house their MVNE capability, leveraging on their core network and IT development capacities. Because MNOs have telecom and IT systems designed to support their own brand(s) this internal MVNE capacity is developed and maintained with very high cost and rigidity which is usually incompatible with the MVNO market. Once interconnected with Transatel’s platforms, development cost and complexity are kept as low as possible for both MNOs and MVNOs. This approach provides MVNOs a more flexible technical infrastructure than the network could ever achieve on its own, enabling new, more innovative, niche MVNOs into the market. Furthermore, Transatel can re-use this connectivity to deploy itself as an MVNO or as a machine-to-machine aggregator/enabler.

MNOs and MVNOs working with Transatel benefit from the technical expertise of more than 100 people from 16 different nationalities with a unique focus on telecoms. Transatel has launched more than 120 MVNOs worldwide in the last 10 years, and is dedicated to doing whatever it takes to make its MVNO partners as innovative and successful as possible.

Jacques Bonifay, CEO and Co-founder of Transatel said: “Transatel started as an MVNO and has launched in excess of 120 other MVNOs on its platforms across Europe. We are thrilled to be recognised for our efforts by the judges at the MVNO World Congress as Best MVNA and will continue to expand the MVNA offer worldwide.”

Philippe Vigneau, VP Business Development of Transatel said: “Thanks to Transatel’s MVNA offer, it has never been easier for companies of any size to become an MVNO and this award is a clear recognition of our continued commitment to being the market leader in this field. We were also pleased to be the only candidate to be recognised in both the Best MVNE and Best MVNA categories, as well as having one of our MVNA clients recognised in the Most Innovative MVNO category.”
