Truphone has appointed Andrew Lowe as sales director for its UK business. The appointment follows a number of exciting developments over the past year, including the expansion of Truphone’s borderless, global network which now covers a huge 66 countries.
Rob Jones, Truphone’s Managing Director Europe says “Andrew joining the team is another positive move in Truphone’s progression in the UK. We’re looking forward to tapping into his extensive experience and seeing his plans come to fruition over the coming months. We’re excited to welcome Andrew to the Truphone team as we continue to grow.”
Lowe joins Truphone having previously led a number of global telecoms sales programmes for key industry players such as Vodafone, Orange and Verizon. Most recently, Lowe was head of mid-market enterprise at Vodafone UK.
Over the past 12 months, Truphone has broadened its global offering and unique infrastructure, and continues to challenge the traditional telecoms market by eliminating unplanned international call and data roaming costs with ‘Truphone World’. The company is expanding rapidly and in just two years it has grown from 250 to 800 employees, with an ever-increasing customer base to match.
Andrew Lowe, Truphone’s newly-appointed sales director UK comments: “I am delighted to be spearheading the Truphone sales team at this incredibly exciting juncture. Businesses are hungry for a mobile service that will help them expand globally in a competitive international market, and Truphone offers this through its ability to deliver a world class network with an unparalleled customer support experience.”
