Trustmarque Awarded New NHS National Software & Services Scotland Framework Contract

Infrastructure and software solutions Value Added Reseller, Trustmarque, announced today that it has been awarded a contract to provide software and services under a new NHS National Services Scotland (NHS NSS) framework

The new contract framework is estimated to be worth in excess of £20 million with additional revenues expected through services. All NHS organisations in Scotland can now purchase software and services through this framework and as such will benefit from favourable pricing and consistent contract terms.

Trustmarque will provide expertise to NHS NSS Boards through intelligent software procurement and cost avoidance strategies, helping to consolidate and maximise core technologies where appropriate and providing a full Software Asset Management service to manage, control and re-harvest existing licences. The framework will also support individual NHS Boards’ requests for service variation as they will have the option to buy centrally or locally depending on their requirements.

Mark Garrity, Regional Sales Director for Trustmarque in Scotland, comments: “This contract is significant as it represents the continuation of the long standing partnership between Trustmarque and NHS Scotland. In recent times we have managed the NHS software framework and delivered a number of service programmes into individual Boards. This new contract will enable Trustmarque to extend our reach and help support all the NHS Boards with extensive value propositions that are designed to drive down costs, improve efficiencies and help them achieve the speed to value of incumbent and/or new technologies.”

The award of the NHS NSS contract also cements the long standing relationship between Trustmarque and the public sector, complementing the existing significant footprint that the company has within the NHS in England. Trustmarque is one of just ten companies to be awarded a framework agreement for a position on the prestigious software supplier list for Commoditised IT Hardware and Software – CITHS, (previously known as IT Goods & Services & Catalist) with preferred adviser and provider status to both central civil government and the wider public sector.

Mark Salveta, Head of the Business Advisory Group at National Services Scotland, commented "Trustmarque has been a long standing partner who have consistently delivered value for the NHS Boards in Scotland for a number of years. The previous Framework was used by all 22 Scottish Boards and by consolidating our purchases through this framework we have made more efficient purchases of software. I look forward to working with Trustmarque and developing the relationship further as they continue to deliver software and services to the Boards."

Mark Garrity concludes: “The competition was fierce, but I believe our understanding of the specific needs of NHS organisations coupled with our proven track record in delivering consistent value, expertise and service, were pivotal factors in our success.”
