TSG to roll out Sophos UTM to its entire customer base

MSPs
TSG has chosen Sophos UTM as its default offering for customers. Over time, the company, which is a long-standing Sophos partner and has offices around the UK, will be making the security platform available to its entire 4,000-strong customer base. TSG will also be integrating its current Sophos and other endpoint customers into UTM.

To support this decision and to benefit from the massive uptake in UTM in the market, TSG has committed significant resources to fully certify eight UTM engineers and eight UTM architects, the only Sophos partner currently in the UK to have such a volume of technical resource assigned to deploying and supporting Sophos UTM. At the same time, over 20 of TSG’s sales professionals have also been fully trained in the product, to ensure they can provide the best possible advice and consultancy to potential new Sophos UTM customers.

Steve Cox, CTO at TSG, explains why TSG has chosen to roll out Sophos to all of its customers: “We have worked with Sophos over a number of years and have always been impressed with the blend of ease of use, best technology and best protection their products provide. With the launch of Sophos UTM last year, they now deliver a fully integrated platform which allows us to more easily and effectively manage security for our broad customer base, reducing costs for us and our customers. We evaluated a number of solutions and Sophos is the only vendor to offer UTM and endpoint in single console.”

He adds: “The other key factor in our decision to standardise on Sophos was its vision and strong roadmap for UTM, with integrated MDM and encryption, a new management console and an innovative per user per month pricing strategy all on the horizon.”

James Vyvyan, regional VP of UK&I at Sophos says: “We’re delighted to deepen our partnership with TSG. Like Sophos, they have a very strong customer service ethic and a genuine commitment to technical training. The team at TSG has just completed an intensive technical training programme, which will position them as one of our most qualified UTM partners. We continue to see strong growth in UTM as organisations of all sizes are increasingly moving an integrated approach, and Sophos is committed to integrating the newest technologies to provide the most complete security for our partners and customers. The combination of TSG’s expertise and great service backed by the Sophos technology will therefore allow us to offer a compelling IT security proposition, particularly to SMEs in the UK.”

Sophos UTM allows companies to protect their users wherever they are. With an essential network firewall at its heart, it protects everything from the network and web and email gateways to endpoint computers.

It can also be deployed in a variety of ways – as a hardware appliance, installed to a server, virtualised or in the cloud. And because it's modular, companies can plug in the features they need whenever they need them, allowing them to grow their protection alongside their business.
