TVF Approves Yealink Interoperability

TheVoiceFactory has confirmed it has successfully approved the interoperability of Yealink’s SIP-T48GN executive handset for use on TheVoiceFactory hosted voice platform.

Compatibility was established following rigorous testing under the Yealink ITSP Partner Programme. It enables TheVoiceFactory to extend its SIP handset portfolio and offer its customers the stylish T48GN colour touchscreen to use on their hosted platform.

This will prove a powerful combination as it brings together a fast and reliable managed network with a handset designed to enable swift switching between applications and offering built-in Gigabit connectivity.

Commenting on the announcement, TheVoiceFactory’s Paul Harrison said: “We’re delighted to have successfully completed interoperability testing and now have the opportunity to offer The Voice Factory’s customers access to the SIP-T48GN. This is a particularly stylish and feature rich handset offering exceptional quality audio and video experiences, resilience and reliability.”

Welcoming the announcement Yealink’s Business Development Manager Peter Holland commented: “Thorough interoperability testing has confirmed that harnessing TheVoiceFactory’s hosted voice services with our flagship handset creates a thoroughly compelling, cutting-edge proposition for end-users.”

To ensure swift and seamless “plug and play” installation Yealink handsets will be supplied to The Voice Factory pre-programmed so that they will automatically connect to the company’s provisioning server.

Launched in January the SIP-T48GN features a generous and ergonomic 18cm (7”) high-resolution backlit colour touch screen and is equipped with dual Gigabit Ethernet ports for integration with PCs and desktop servers. Standard features include an XML browser, three-way conferencing and caller ID with name, number and photograph. The fully HD model also supports Bluetooth earpieces and headsets via a USB dongle, can host up to six SIP accounts and is hearing aid compatible.
