TVT services some of the world’s leading broadcasters, preparing all programming for broadcast on BBC Worldwide's 20 plus international channels and UKTV's range of channels. Services provided include ingest, broadcast compliance, subtitling and dubbing, transcoding, metadata creation and delivery. It runs a tapeless environment and relies on high-capacity fibre optic infrastructure to transport and transmit SD and HD broadcast-ready content.
“We have existing connectivity with a well-known industry operator, but felt we needed the additional security of dual carriers,” said Kim Thesiger, TVT’s Managing Director. “It was a pretty straightforward decision. Geo was already connected to the building and we’d been hearing lots of noise about the company in the sector. With Geo’s network buried deep in the sewers, I can’t imagine that our customers’ traffic could be any more secure.”
