Two Business Leaders Land at Olive

Olive Communications has made two new significant appointments to bolster its growing senior management team.

The strategic move comes just over a month after Olive acquired fellow Vodafone Platinum Partner Wish Comms and sees the High Wycombe-based communications solutions provider appoint investment and business development strategist Roger Flynn as a non-executive director and in a market coup hire Azzurri’s Head of Major Bid Sales Nick Beardsley as Converged Solutions Director.

Roger Flynn has vast experience in transformational change, M&A and business development having led five global companies as CEO or Director. Roger has run businesses with millions of customers, thousands of staff and turnovers of up to £2bn, with names like Virgin, British Airways, BBC and Prudential under his belt.

Nick Beardsley is undoubtedly one of the industry’s finest sales professionals; having been Azzurri’s top performer for the past eight years running and winning the Avaya Channel Salesman of the Year an unprecedented two years in a row. Over the last three years, whilst still personally being responsible for large contract wins, Nick also developed and managed the most successful sales team.

Roger Flynn comments: “Olive has a great proposition and growth strategy which gives it the potential to be the leading player in its market. I am very much looking forward to helping Olive capitalise on the significant opportunities ahead.”

Ahead of his November start date, Nick Beardsley commented: “Olive is a fast growing innovative business led by recognised industry figures that have helped shape the market. I am increasingly finding that customers are looking for a technology partner that truly understands the benefits of convergence; bringing together mobility, collaboration and multi-channel contact centre technology whilst being able to deliver flexible deployment, service and commercial models – Olive can do this and that’s why I am joining the team.”

Martin Flick, CEO of Olive Comms comments: “We have strong plans for Olive and these two appointments to the management team are integral to achieving Olive’s full potential as well as demonstrating the pedigree of talent we are now attracting. These are the last two pieces of the jigsaw from a management perspective, complementing our team perfectly.

“Roger’s advice and guidance along with Nick’s innate talent for business development can only propel Olive to even greater heights. Our aspirations and plans for the next three years are very exciting indeed, and we expect to challenge more established players in the market with a dynamic and very compelling proposition.”
