Ubisecure has announced the first stages in its expansion across Europe with the appointment of new senior roles and the opening of a UK regional headquarters. The expansion will address Ubisecure’s market opportunity for its Identity Platform – a Customer IAM middleware solution that can be deployed on-premise or in the cloud to connect customer digital identities with customer-facing SaaS and enterprise applications.
Demand for Customer IAM solutions are at an all-time high, with drivers such as GDPR, PSD2, digital transformation and customer experience improvement demands, making digital identity a central strategic initiative for enterprises across Europe.
To better meet its customer’s local demands and support needs Ubisecure is opening new UK headquarters in London to facilitate expansion into the UK and Benelux regions. A key executive has also been appointed in Sweden to support Ubisecure’s Northern Europe expansion.
The expanded team will be responsible for taking the Ubisecure brand out of the Nordics and across Europe and will focus on establishing local strategic partnerships with System Integrators and VARs to support Ubisecure’s ‘partner first’ market approach. The local offices will provide sales engineering, account management, customer support and marketing / co-marketing support to both partners and customers.
Heading up the new local teams will be Charlie Rowland, a seasoned enterprise sales and marketing executive with strong Identity Management experience. Charlie brings with him a wealth of experience in the IAM ecosystem, and most recently served on the partner advisory committee to a major US based IAM provider where he was able to understand first hand exactly what Partners need from their Customer IAM vendor, and exactly what Enterprises need for Customer IAM deployments. Supporting Charlie in his VP Sales UK & Central Europe Sales role will be Jonathan Clark who joins Ubisecure as Director, UK Sales. As part of the strengthening of Ubisecure’s presence in the Nordics, Rolf Berglund joins to head up Partner Management in Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Rolf previously helped develop Oracles’s partner channel in Northern Europe.
Simon Wood, Ubisecure CEO commented: “We are delighted that Charlie joins Ubisecure to develop and drive the new team responsible for our European expansion. Attracting someone of Charlie’s calibre is a good endorsement of Ubisecure’s growth potential. He has a fantastic entrepreneurial background taking proven IAM solutions into new markets, and with his understanding of the space and opportunity, he will no doubt be very successful in positioning Ubisecure against the incumbent, largely US based, providers.”
Charlie Rowland, VP Sales UK & Central Europe commented: “There are many reasons for Ubisecure’s strong footprint in the Nordics. I believe the company’s unique expertise and longevity in the customer identity space combined with the technology differentiators of the Identity Platform and Ubisecure’s ‘partner first’ market approach makes the company’s proposition highly attractive to both partners and customers in the new regions. On behalf of the new team, we look forward to continuing Ubisecure’s momentum as we expand.”
