Uniworld Communications has won a major contract for international food and retail concession operator SSP.
SSP is the worlds’ largest airport and rail travel concession operator and runs food outlets and retail stores in travel hubs across 31 countries. The company has a turnover of £1.15 billion, operates in 600 sites and employs 26,000 staff.
SSP wanted to appoint a single fixed line telecoms provider for its UK business. After an exhaustive bidding process against strong competition SSP selected Uniworld Communications as its chosen provider.
The contract won by Uniworld is worth around £1M and involves 2800 lines for 600 outlets at 300 sites.
Harvey Marston, Head of Vendor Management for SSP, said “To improve our efficiency and internal management processes we wanted one fixed line telecoms for our UK business. We are pleased with the choice we have made in Uniworld and every contact we’ve had to date has been positive.”
Graham Leach, Managing Director of Uniworld, said “We are pleased to have won this major contract and its confirmation that our strategy of combining a pro-active commercial approach with strong relationships is one that is beneficial to our customers and our channel.”
