Varlink has made a great start to 2013 by already adding three new manufacturers to its portfolio; Seals, SOTI and Extricom are all now selling their products through the York based IT distributor.

Seals manufacturer ultra-rugged Smartphone devices and have two models in their range; the TS3 and VR7. The TS3 is an IP68 rated Smartphone and runs on Android 2.3.6 operating system. The VR7 is an IP67 rated GSM Java phone, with a 2 metre drop to concrete specification. With suggested list prices starting from £239, the Seals devices are an ideal low-cost solution for workers requiring a rugged phone out in the field.

SOTI, manufacturer of MobiControl the mobile device management system offers the solution for both enterprise and for the end user. SOTI MobiControl solves the unique challenges involved in managing, securing, supporting, and tracking mobile and desktop computing devices across all platforms. Today, over 10,000 customers around the world in all industries rely on SOTI to manage millions of devices.

Extricom provide a unique, award winning Wireless LAN system, which is a new generation of business-class wireless infrastructure, ranging from a single office to large warehouse based facilities and corporate campuses. The success of Extricom’s innovative system is down to continuously providing reliable service where other WLAN systems failed to perform to expectations, offeringmore reliable coverage across a wide variety of challenging applications. As the first enterprise wireless LAN system in Varlink’s portfolio, the introduction of Extricom allows Varlink branch out into new markets, offering customers a completely new addition to their solution set.

Mike Pullon, Varlink CEO commented “The additions to our product range follow extensive market research into the emerging needs of our expanding customer base.

SOTI remote terminal management enables our resellers to increase their service offering to enterprises that are looking to maximise their investment in mobile computing technology. Each year we sell thousands of wireless network enabled handheld computers, both rugged PDAs and rugged/scanning tablets, to resellers and system integrators. Extricom network products enable these customers to include products which are strongly differentiated from other products on the market, and that deliver interesting profit margin.

Many mobile worker applications have been created to run on Android Smartphones. Whilst the software meets the needs of enterprises in improving efficiency and customer service, the Smartphones often do not withstand the harsh environments in which they are used. Our relationship with Seals has resulted in the availability of the TS3 a rugged Android Smartphone that has been designed to work in tough, damp and harsh situations. The TS3 offers further benefits for loan workers with a panic button facility and dual SIM card slots.”
