Vcomm Attack the IP Gateway Market

Newbury based distributor Vcomm has appointed Colin Cunningham to the position of Vegastream Business Manager to drive channel sales.

Cunningham has a history in the IP Telephony marketplace having previously held positions at Westell and Nortel.

"The IP gateway opportunity is poised to explode in 2007 and we needed to ensure we were providing the right level of support to Vegastream and our Vegastream partners" stated Scott Dobson, Vcomm's Managing Director. The channel has recognised the value of VoIP and the gateway is the logical solution to transition traditional PBX to the VoIP world. "

Equally, the service providers are building their offerings which involve IP gateways at the core of their infrastructure, once deployed, the opportunity exists to partner with them to provide their CPE solutions. In both cases, Vegastream and Vcomm have the knowledge and portfolio of solutions to accommodate these scenarios." Dobson concluded.

“Having worked at Westell selling gateways to the channel and service provider community, I can see an immense opportunity for Vegastream to steal a march on other gateway vendors who do not represent themselves locally,” claimed Cunningham.
