Scott Dobson, Managing Director of Newbury based distributor VCOMM says that in this economic climate, it’s interesting to note who’s finding it tough and who is experiencing continued growth and prosperity.
“From VCOMM’s perspective, things are looking very positive with growth across all aspects of the business. Now, there are two schools of thought here. Either we’re enjoying the fruits of our hard labour over the last four years and would have had fantastic growth if the economy had been unchanged. Or the markets we (and our partners) address are relatively recession proof.
In truth, I believe we’re seeing a little of both but one thing is for sure, VoIP is a technology which clearly saves money and ROI and cost cutting is where businesses will still spend money.
Another interesting scenario is that there are good people being laid off in all areas of business. These good people will not just sign up with recruitment agencies and hope a job comes around.
